I've decided that we are definately going to have a flawlessly sunny summer this year and this glorious weather we've been recently enjoying is just a taster of what's to come. No more muddy pants and damp accordions this year, not for this folk singer anyhow!
I've been having a fun month of gigs so far with the Mawkin boys, the other night in Bath we had the A-Team back again (the line up that features Alex Goldsmith and Danny Crump) as opposed to the B-Team which we've been going out with in recent months (Nick Cooke and Sam Norman). I swear i can't tell the difference! Apparently i'm not allowed a dep which i think is rather unfair but hey ho. I think Mawkin:McCormick has a rather catchy ring to it.
Lots of Exciting stuff coming in the next few weeks. M:C are playing the Musician in Leicester for the first time and we've heard great reports about that place so very keen to experience it first hand. Also we're revisiting the wonderful Nailsea Folk Club in Somerset which is always a good laugh. I'm performing solo at a gig in Brighton with two talented ladies; Mary Hampton and Jo Burke, then a duo gig with Jackie Oates in Devon for the Moorland Ladies Group, then i get to go to London to meet the Queen in Cecil Sharp House in May for a concert that is set to be probably one of the most hilarious i've ever been to! Just go check out the line up and you'll get the idea.
Had a few more exciting gigs come in only this afternoon so do keep your ears peeled and your eyes nice and warm!

Nowt As Queer As Folk
A great concert at Cecil Sharp House - disappointed not to have seen much of you though!
Roy Bailey was wonderful, as was everyone else - it was such a positive event, I hope it gets repeated. It was quite heartwarming to know that there are plenty of queer folk that like (and perform!) folk - and for once, I didn't feel like that I was the only gay man in the audience!
C# House
Shall be in the audience for your date with the Queen(s)in London. It should be great fun. It was nice to see you with the Mawkins a few weeks back.
Karen and Shelley say hello!
